Senior IT Architect (#70)

We are seeking an experienced IT Solution Architect to define and deliver optimal IT solutions aligned with business needs and the overall enterprise IT strategy.
This role involves close collaboration with Enterprise Architects, product owners, development squads, and platform teams to ensure that IT assets and capabilities are leveraged effectively to maximize value delivery and reduce waste across the organization. The position covers all business entities operating in Japan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define appropriate and optimal technical solutions based on business needs provided by product owners through user stories.

• Collaborate closely with Enterprise Architects to ensure solutions align with long-term IT strategy and roadmap.

• Reuse existing IT assets and platforms to accelerate solution delivery and reduce duplication or inefficiencies.

• Identify and address key business capability gaps, working with product owners and strategic planning teams.

• Provide hands-on technical guidance and support to development squads and engineering teams.

• Consult with platform architects when needed to align with architectural and technological standards.

• Maintain architectural oversight across business applications and solution design processes.

• Support initiatives covering multiple business entities within Japan.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT.

• At least 3 years in architecture-related roles covering applications and solution design.

• Experience working in or with the insurance industry is preferred.

• Strong technical background with hands-on development experience.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively across IT and business units.

• Strong leadership in defining and promoting IT strategies and roadmaps.

• Clear understanding of software development lifecycle (design, build, test, change, release).

• Ability to articulate and enforce architectural direction and best practices.
