Job description

This role is responsible for driving the organization’s sustainability strategy, including climate change initiatives, in alignment with corporate strategic objectives and global direction. The position plays a key role in leading cross-functional initiatives, achieving sustainability KPIs, and embedding a sustainability-focused culture across the organization.


Key Responsibilities

1. Sustainability Strategy & Execution

  • Lead and support cross-functional sustainability initiatives to achieve key performance indicators, including greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets by 2030 and beyond

  • Drive organization-wide sustainability programs in alignment with strategic priorities

  • Establish and manage governance frameworks to ensure effective execution of sustainability actions

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments such as Finance, HR, Strategy, Distribution, Operations, and Communications

  • Monitor sustainability-related KPIs and ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and disclosure of relevant data

  • Prepare regular updates and reports for senior leadership and governance committees


2. Climate Action & Reporting

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to define GHG reduction targets across divisions and track progress

  • Plan and implement initiatives to meet climate goals

  • Ensure compliance with internal and external reporting requirements (e.g., environmental and sustainability reports)

  • Coordinate with Finance to ensure accuracy and integrity of sustainability-related data and disclosures

  • Manage local reporting obligations, surveys, and regulatory requirements


3. Corporate Citizenship & Engagement Initiatives

  • Lead and execute employee engagement and volunteering initiatives, including planning, promotion, execution, and continuous improvement

  • Foster collaboration across departments to drive participation and engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including nonprofit organizations and community stakeholders

  • Leverage global sustainability programs and strengthen internal alignment through effective communication

  • Oversee internal and external communications, including press releases, reports, social media, and company-owned platforms


4. Awareness & Culture Building

  • Promote sustainability awareness across the organization to influence behavior and decision-making

  • Encourage departments to adopt more environmentally and socially responsible practices

  • Act as a sustainability advocate and subject matter resource within the organization

  • Continuously develop expertise in sustainability and climate-related topics

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in program or project management

  • Experience in sustainability, CSR, ESG, or climate-related fields preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
