Job description
We are seeking a highly capable Technology Strategy & Planning Manager to join the Japan Technology Strategy & Planning team. This is a high-impact role positioned at the center of technology leadership, strategic execution, governance, and executive communication. The successful candidate will help translate leadership priorities into actionable plans, drive structured coordination across Technology, and support senior decision-making through clear reporting, disciplined follow-through, and strong stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and continuous refinement of IT strategy, ensuring alignment with leadership priorities and market trends; translate executive vision into clear, actionable plans and objectives.
- Drive operating metrics, senior management reporting, and governance routines through cross-Technology coordination; balance strategic initiatives with urgent priorities to ensure consistent execution.
- Support Technology-wide communication, change, and EVP initiatives across Japan and global stakeholders; drive employee engagement, talent attraction, and onboarding to strengthen alignment and retention.
- Support organizational design and communication of leadership structures and operating models; coordinate executive activities, including Town Halls, leadership offsites, and management routines.
- Build strong relationships and influence outcomes across all levels of the organization; partner with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure aligned execution.
Experience We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, planning, transformation, or a related advisory role
- 3+ years of project management experience, including planning, coordination, execution tracking, and stakeholder management
- Experience in technology and/or the financial services industry is preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Experience working with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders
- Executive-level communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear, concise, and audience-appropriate materials
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong project management and analytical skills, with the ability to break down complex objectives into manageable tasks and drive execution
- Ability to work effectively in a fluid, fast-moving, and matrixed environment
- Bilingual capability and comfort working across Japanese and English business contexts

Language Requirements
- English: Strong verbal and written communication skills required
- Japanese language capability is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PMI, Agile, Scrum, or SAFe certification is a plus
Systems & Tools
- Experience or familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Apptio, Target process, ServiceNow, and similar enterprise platforms is preferred.
