Data Governance Specialist (Data Modeling & Metadata) (#528)

The Data Management team serves as the central hub for expertise and best practices in managing and overseeing the development of data assets. The team ensures safe, responsible, and scalable implementation across all Data Product and AI initiatives.

This role focuses on executing modern data management practices and technical policies within the data platform. It also plays a key role in data modeling and metadata management, ensuring that data foundations are well-structured, efficient, scalable, and aligned with organizational and AI-driven needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce data management policies, standards, and best practices across the organization
• Design and maintain scalable data models (e.g., Data Vault, dimensional modeling)
• Develop and manage metadata frameworks to improve data discovery, lineage, and governance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Data Product and AI initiatives
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across platforms
• Contribute to data governance efforts, including data risk, privacy, and security controls
• Support the evolution of modern data platforms using tools such as Databricks, AWS, and metadata management solutions
• Produce and maintain clear, structured documentation for data assets and processes

Required Skills & Experience

Technical & Functional Skills:

• Strong understanding of data management principles, data modeling, and metadata management
• Experience with modern data platforms and tools (e.g., Databricks, AWS)
• Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and data security concepts
