Business Continuity Management Expert (#520)

The Business Continuity Management (BCM) Expert will lead both the Business Continuity Management (BCM) and IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) functions within the Operational Resilience, Physical Security, and Safety team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining business continuity and risk management frameworks to ensure organizational resilience. The position focuses on business impact analysis, risk assessment, continuity strategy development, incident response, and regular testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert for BCM and ITSCM, ensuring alignment with internal standards and industry best practices
• Lead the development and execution of end-to-end resilience strategies across the organization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risks and strengthen operational resilience
• Conduct research on emerging trends in security and resilience, proposing solutions to potential threats
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet regulatory and compliance requirements
• Lead projects involving business process design, systems integration, and risk analysis
• Develop project plans, anticipate risks, and propose mitigation strategies
• Design and deliver training programs to enhance awareness of BCM, Business Impact Analysis (BIA), and continuity planning
• Oversee the maintenance and regular updates of Business Continuity Plans (BCP), including scenarios such as major IT outages or third-party disruptions
• Support incident management by providing guidance and recommendations during crises
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency while managing budget considerations

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business continuity, risk management, or operational resilience within a regulated environment
• Strong knowledge of BCM standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 22301, ISO 31000, EU DORA or equivalent)
• Professional certifications such as CBCP or CBCI are a plus
• Experience in IT infrastructure and disaster recovery is highly desirable
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong documentation skills, including writing policies, procedures, and reports
• Experience planning and executing BCM testing and exercises
• Proven ability to conduct business impact analyses and risk assessments
• Capable of advising stakeholders during incidents and influencing decision-making
• Strong project and program management skills
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and training capabilities
