Role Overview / 概要
This role leads the execution of internal audit investigations to provide timely, independent assurance and to enhance the organization’s control culture. The successful candidate demonstrates leadership in investigative work, has general knowledge of business processes, assesses key risks effectively with limited support, and interacts professionally with a wide range of stakeholders. The role includes managing one to two staff members reporting directly to the jobholder.

Key Responsibilities / 主な業務内容

Investigation Leadership / 調査業務のリード

  • Lead investigative work with support from a Senior Investigator.

  • Execute investigations in accordance with internal audit methodologies and professional standards.

  • Triage and escalate allegations appropriately.

  • Document all phases of investigations and perform quality checks, ensuring clarity and anonymity where required.

  • Analyze trends in allegations and investigation matters and report findings to senior management.

  • Integrate relevant legal and regulatory requirements into investigative frameworks.

Stakeholder Partnership / ステークホルダーとの連携

  • Guide management in developing action plans to address control failures.

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with business stakeholders and audit professionals.

  • Promote staff awareness of whistleblowing channels and lead initiatives to improve reporting.

  • Support audit teams in reporting key investigation outcomes to management.

  • Mentor and guide junior staff conducting investigative activities.

Business Acumen / ビジネス理解

  • Maintain an understanding of key business risks, including emerging risks.

  • Periodically review business documentation to monitor risk profile evolution.

  • Identify training and development needs and expand professional network proactively.

Experience / 経験

  • Proven experience in HR, employee relations, or internal investigation functions

  • Understanding of organizational management challenges

  • People management experience is an advantage

  • International experience in a multinational environment is an advantage

Qualifications / 資格

  • Professional certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or Certified Corporate Investigator (CCI) are advantageous

  • Familiarity with Excel, Power BI, or other data analytics tools is a plus
