Mainframe System Analyst (#496)

【Responsabilities】
You will be involved in the development and maintenance of a contract management system for a life insurance company, including the following tasks:

• Liaise with internal user departments and finalize requirements, including business process improvements.

• Based on business requirements, select and finalize optimal solutions aligned with the company’s strategy.

• Define system requirements according to the solution and comprehensively manage the development process with external vendors.

• Create acceptance test cases and perform acceptance testing for deliverables from development vendors.

• Handle incidents and system issues.

• Continuously identify issues in current processes and propose and implement improvements.

Development Environment:

• Mainframe (IBM)

• COBOL

• DB2

【Required Skills and Experience】

Must-Have:

• Knowledge of life insurance.

• At least 3 years of experience in system development and maintenance at a life insurance company (preferably in contract management: billing, policy administration, actuarial, or product management).

• Strong business communication skills in Japanese (English is a plus).

Nice-to-Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• At least 3 years of experience in system analysis or similar roles.

• At least 3 years of development experience on Mainframe (design → development → testing), preferably IBM.

• Experience with Agile practices and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).

• Experience collaborating with vendors.
