Job description
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer – Medical Imaging to join our healthcare technology team in Japan. The role focuses on developing medical imaging and healthcare solutions using C++, Java, or .NET (C#) technologies.
The selected candidate will work closely with the existing project team across technical development, communication, and coordination activities. Responsibilities include requirement analysis, design comprehension, implementation, testing, and customer interaction. The role requires strong ownership, self-direction, and a proactive approach to ensure high-quality and timely deliverables.
Key Responsibilities

Perform software requirements analysis and document functional and non-functional requirements.

Collaborate with technical leads to understand system architecture and design specifications.

Develop high-quality, maintainable code using C++, Java, or C#.

Conduct developer-level testing, unit testing, and verification activities.

Communicate clearly and effectively in both English and Japanese with customers and global stakeholders.

Ensure on-time delivery while maintaining high quality standards.

Work closely with clients to support successful project execution.

Manage changes in priorities and stakeholder expectations efficiently.

Support customer escalations by quickly investigating issues and providing timely resolutions.

Proactively suggest and implement tools and process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.

Stay current with advancements in medical imaging, healthcare technologies, and development processes.
Required Qualifications & Experience

5+ years of total experience, with at least 3 years in software development using C++, Java, or C#.

Hands-on experience in medical imaging or healthcare domain applications.

Working knowledge of medical standards such as DICOM and HL7.

Experience with debugging, memory analysis, profiling, and code quality tools.

Strong hands-on experience with unit testing and version control systems (preferably Git).

Solid understanding of SDLC, traceability, and Agile methodologies.

Familiarity with bug tracking, collaboration, and source control tools.
