Vendor Demand Manager (#456)

The Vendor Demand Manager is responsible for overseeing IT internal resource capacity planning and managing demand for external vendors to ensure optimal utilization of resources and effective delivery of IT initiatives aligned with company strategy. This role requires forecasting IT workload for both BAU (Business As Usual) operations and strategic projects, developing and maintaining internal capacity plans, and consolidating vendor demand plans. The position covers over 500 internal IT resources and more than 400 vendor FTEs across multiple vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaboration and Planning

  • Work with IT teams to understand BAU activities and upcoming projects requiring internal and vendor resources

  • Develop comprehensive capacity plans in collaboration with IT teams to ensure the availability of key resources

  • Maintain and adjust capacity plans as demand evolves

  • Identify potential capacity constraints and provide assessments of project delivery feasibility

  • Partner with company executives to prioritize projects considering capacity limitations

  • Identify short- and long-term measures to address resource shortages for critical roles

• External Vendor Demand Management

  • Consolidate and manage vendor demand for planned BAU activities and projects

  • Liaise with vendors to assess capacity, capability, lead times, and constraints

  • Identify gaps and coordinate adjustments (e.g., project prioritization, scheduling, resource reallocation)

  • Provide structured input to Contract and Financial Managers when demand or vendor capacity changes significantly, ensuring accurate cost and contractual assessments

• Process and Tools

  • Implement best practices, processes, and tools for effective Capacity and Vendor Demand Management

  • Manage order processes between the company and vendors efficiently

• Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the central coordination point for IT teams, company leaders, and vendors

  • Ensure shared visibility and quick resolution of capacity and demand-related issues

• Reporting

  • Generate regular IT Capacity and Vendor Demand reports to provide executives with strategic insights for resource planning and decision-making

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in demand management, capacity planning, or IT resource management

• Strong data analysis and reporting skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level engagement

• Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and with external vendors

• Fluency in Japanese; business-level English proficiency
