Job description

The role involves joining the IT Strategy Division of a major financial institution to support enterprise-level IT Service Management (ITSM) operations. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Promote IT governance, system risk management, and operational standardization across group companies.

  • Drive IT projects and support process improvements and transformation at the ground level.

  • Participate across the entire system lifecycle: planning, requirement definition, design, development, testing, release, and maintenance.

  • Manage vendors, project progress, risks, and issues.

  • Support global IT service management using tools like ServiceNow and cloud-based solutions.


Required Skills & Experience

  • ITIL Certification (Foundation or above) or

  • 2+ years of practical experience in IT service operations (ITSM processes)

  • Business-level bilingual skills in Japanese and English

    • Japanese: Able to lead meetings, create documentation, and manage coordination

    • English: Able to attend meetings, handle emails, and manage documents

  • Strong communication and coordination skills with both business and IT stakeholders

  • Experience in financial system projects, including system implementation or maintenance

  • High compliance awareness


Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Project Management or PMO experience

  • Financial industry experience (securities, banking, asset management), including from the vendor side

  • Hands-on experience in system development projects (requirements, design, coding, testing, etc.)

  • IT security and advanced knowledge of ITIL processes

  • Familiarity with emerging technologies (cloud, agile, digital transformation, etc.)

Language requirement

Japanese (Business advanced), English (Business advanced)
