Database Infrastructure Lead (#390)

As a technical lead, the Expert Platform Specialist will be responsible for defining and executing the technical roadmap for their specific technological stack, supporting the Distributed Manager in strategic planning and operational execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead project and BAU operations as a server engineer.

• Ensure timely, high-quality, and cost-effective server deliveries.

• Manage and guide a technical team.

• Administer and maintain server infrastructure.

• Manage the End-of-Service-Life (EOSL) for servers.

• Collaborate closely with middleware, cloud broker, and other relevant teams.

• Participate in cloud migration programs.

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues.

• Drive daily operations and project execution.

• Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance and security.

• Identify and implement software and system improvements.

• Manage offshore departments and vendors to ensure service quality.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong expertise in server engineering.

• Extensive knowledge of OS and database administration.

• Quality-focused mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.

• Experience in collaborating with international colleagues on projects and BAU operations.

• Experience in storage management is a plus.

Technical Expertise:

• Deep knowledge of distributed computing domains, including:

  • Compute, Storage, Virtualization

  • Operating Systems (Windows, RHEL)

  • Infrastructure services (AD, DNS, DHCP, Proxy, Monitoring tools, etc.)

• Strong expertise in database technologies, including:

  • Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL databases

• Basic knowledge of finance, human resources, and procurement processes.

• Ability to develop strategic plans for distributed domain management.
