Mainframe Application Engineer (#388)

We are looking for a COBOL Developer to be responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of our contract management system and other institutional systems within direct sales channel. T
he role involves system analysis, user coordination, vendor management, and production support to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the institutional system of products sold through the direct channel.
• Develop and maintain the in-house contract management system and related applications.
• Analyze business requirements for system development projects and coordinate with user departments.
• Act as a bridge between vendors and end-users, ensuring seamless communication and project execution.
• Provide UAT support and assist in ensuring a smooth transition to production.
• Support the operation and maintenance of the production environment.

Job Requirements:

Must-Have:

• 5+ years of experience in host system development (COBOL).
• Hands-on experience with IBM (AS400) and LIFE/J (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in designing and developing life insurance systems.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Life Insurance Policy Management System development.
• Technical expertise in:
  • OS: OS/400, z/OS
  • Middleware: MQ
  • Database: DB2
