Test Team Manager (#382)

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain team charter, mission, and KPIs to achieve company goals.
• Track and report KPIs measuring application quality, team maturity, and productivity.
• Define and implement testing best practices, patterns, and processes.

Quality Assurance & Testing Management:

• Lead and oversee the execution of QA activities, including functional testing, regression testing, system integration testing, performance testing, security testing, automation, and test planning.
• Ensure the development and execution of comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test reports in collaboration with Test Leads.
• Estimate workload, secure resources, and supervise the tester workforce (internal and vendor teams).
• Identify, document, and resolve defects while managing testing issues and risks.
• Ensure the availability and efficiency of testing infrastructure and tools.

Team Growth & Development:

• Onboard, mentor, and support test engineers in skill development and career growth.
• Foster a knowledge-sharing culture within the testing team and across related squads.

Goal Setting & Performance Management:

• Conduct goal setting, performance appraisals, and feedback sessions.
• Motivate team members by establishing personalized career development goals.
• Support underperforming team members to enhance their capabilities.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong mainframe technology knowledge is highly desirable.
• Understanding of insurance/financial services industry is a plus.
• Experience with Agile transformation, Agile methodologies, and certifications is advantageous.

Technical Skills:

• In-depth understanding of testing lifecycles and best practices.
• Proficiency in modern testing methodologies & tools:
  • TDD, BDD, API Testing
  • JMeter, LoadRunner, Jira XRAY
  • Playwright, Selenium
• Experience with CI/CD and test automation technologies (preferred).
• Familiarity with modern collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, Git).
• General knowledge of IT architecture, infrastructure, development, security.
• Exposure to Agile practices, DevOps, and SRE methodologies (desirable).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
