Job description
We are looking for an experienced Distributed Engineer.
The role involves both project-based work and BAU (Business As Usual) operations. You will play an active role in leading projects, delivering high-quality solutions, and ensuring smooth daily operations. This individual must have a proactive mindset, be able to propose optimal solutions to users, and collaborate closely with internal teams and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities:

Project and BAU Operations:
- Deliver servers on time, on budget, and with high quality.
- Administer and manage servers, ensuring their smooth operation.
- Manage the End of Service Life (EOSL) of servers.
- Collaborate with other teams, including middleware and cloud broker teams, to achieve seamless operations.
- Participate in the "Move to Cloud" program, helping transition services to the cloud.
- Identify and resolve problems that arise in server operations.
- Lead daily operations and project initiatives to ensure successful outcomes.

Incident and Maintenance Management:
- Lead troubleshooting for major incidents.
- Take charge of major server maintenance activities to ensure minimal disruption and maximum uptime.

Quality and Standards:
- Ensure the maintenance of high service quality by establishing and enforcing organizational standards for server management.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Experience:
- More than 5 years of experience as a server engineer in an enterprise environment, with a strong understanding of server management (Windows, Linux, and/or Database).

Skills:
- Strong technical expertise in server engineering and administration.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to interact effectively with both onsite and remote colleagues and clients.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to proposing solutions to users.
- Ability to work collaboratively with global teams and support external vendors (especially those in India).
